  • Modern UI rule #1: Confuse the user.
  • Modern UI rule #2: Force the user to buy larger screen.
  • Modern UI rule #3: Make customizing UI f*cking hard.
    • Rule #3 note: Make it impossible, if possible.
  • Modern UI rule #4: Use Emoji, not icons.
  • Modern UI rule #5: Reimplement Emoji rendering. Using system font renderer is boring.
  • Modern UI rule #6: Let your users explore the UI. For example, hide important stuff to hamburger menus. The users will then need to explore the UI.
